FNA Refrigerated Van Conversion for Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4x4 L2H2
We converted a four-wheel-drive Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 319 CDI 4x4 L2H2 panel van into an FNA-class refrigerated van for chilled goods — 8.5 m³ of insulated load space with a Daikin (Zanotti) SFZ009 refrigeration unit, 230 V standby and hot-gas defrost.
The cargo area is lined with high-strength polyester laminate panels and injected polyurethane foam insulation, which keeps thermal bridging to a minimum. Reinforced structural elements, sealed joints and additional door gaskets keep the compartment airtight and the temperature stable. The seamless, non-slip floor has an integrated drainage channel for easy washing, and hermetically sealed LED lights illuminate the interior. The sliding door is on the right (passenger) side.
Key specifications
FNA class (ATP) insulation for chilled goods, designed for a 0 to +10 °C cargo temperature

Polyester laminate panels with injected polyurethane foam insulation
Seamless non-slip floor with an integrated drainage channel
260 mm aluminium kickplates on the side walls and front wall
Airline cargo-securing rails on both side walls
Hermetically sealed LED cargo lighting

Refrigeration
Cooling comes from a Daikin (Zanotti) SFZ009 (R452A) running on the vehicle's 12 V system, with 230 V electric standby and hot-gas defrost, so the load can be pre-cooled or kept cold at the depot with the engine off. The condenser is mounted under the vehicle, so the van's aerodynamics stays unchanged. Rated cooling at 0 °C (ATP conditions, 30 °C ambient) is 3,160 W on the road and 2,030 W on standby, and the unit can also heat the cargo area in winter.
The conversion comes with a 24-month warranty.
Manufactured and installed at Hoobrid's production facility in Eigirgala, Lithuania.
